When you look at a person for the first time, what do you get? what will be your first impession? I’m sure you will build an image about him without your conscience. You start assuming about that person. The assumptions you make about him/her actually blocks you from knowing exactly who he is. Here, is where one get lost in understanding a person or even an object for that matter

Lets say i know few black people who are very good dancers or singers. Or atleast I’ve heard that black are good dancers and are jovial. The next time when I meet a person who is a black, I immediately start thinkin that he ‘s a good dancer or singer. He may be a goof or a great thinker ; which will be very diffcult for me to accept. This is because the previous image has forced me to accept as something for which he is totally not related.

This situation is what leads to the perception of a man in a complete different sense. Hereby, it can be said that the way I’ve understood him is completely by my previous thiughts and ideas and have never actually seen him.

Hi, I always wanted to learn dance but was very shy to go out and put up an image of a hopless dancer. Anyways, being jobless for 2 months is givin me great inspiration to venture into new things. Watchin aaja nachle, I finally decide to go and join a dance school. I have heard that dance needs great grace, and talent and all other crap. Me, being good for nothin enrolled myself into a freestyle dance also called bollywood style of dance. Its just been 2 days but the first day was very exciting…..

As soon as I walked in, I headed to reception. There was nobody, to my left was the dance room. I scaredly walked in shying away from others eyes. But what to do, my size is so big, people can hardly not look at me that too when there were only some 7 people. Even the coach wasnt there, i was too embarresed and couldnt talked to anybody. The worst part was that I was the only guy there. :)

Few minutes went by, teacher came in, introduced and then taught me the first basic step to practice. While the rest of dancers (i think i can call them so, they are damn good) got ready, he played the song ‘Move your body’ from Johnny Gaddar movie. OMG!! I couldnt belive my eyes, how well were they dancing, what the heck was in their body, bones or something else. Comparing with them, I was dancin like a robot!!!! I could barely twist my stomach or could any flexibly bend my limbs. So, day 1, all I did was stare at them. And the worst thing in dance school is, an entire wall is made of mirror and can barely escape teachers eyes. With me dancin so badly, everybody was laughin at me, I thought I would run away right there. Ahhh…. With now great efforts I have done with 2 classes… Hoping for really good time further on. Just to note, I’ve now become too conscioius not to eat much.

I mean he’s a different state CM, what does have to do with that? What love will these people have on him to be cryin or condolin? There’s absolutely no point. Its baseless. Practically speakin there’s no point in givin a holiday if our own country PM dies. Why should you go on leave? To eat and sleep and watch TV? Or to kill time at the restaraunts and CCDs? Does anyone see any sense here. What a shame. We are still livin where ther are holidays even if an ex-president dies…haha

Looking at people who rush to office somehow trying to manage breakfasts; looking at those who prefer to order or eat out for dinner cause its tiring to cook, I feel lets do something about it, lets change the way things go. Lets help them have a good food of their wish without even sacrificing their taste ( which has to be done in hotels). This pondering made me come up with a nice idea. Even though this is difficult to be done today, it can definitely be done tomorrow.

You know how the entire range of colour is distinguished. You can address all colours using primary colours which are Red, Blue and Green. Adding R,Y,B in different combinations you can create any colour u want. On the same lines, any sound can be created just with a variation of frequency form 20hz to 20khz. Have a sound of any frequency, keep modifying it, you can generate any other sound you want. Now, if sound and light, 2 senses of human life, can be differentiated into very few entities, why not taste? Lets differentiate that too and find out what are the primary factors.

Consider any food, for example a roti, a chicken or something else. The stuff within is always same. What differs individual interest is its taste or sometimes its size too. Forget the size, this taste has to be made somehow appropriate to everyone. Hence, the cooked food shall be made bland, and let a powder or solution be made of different primary tastes. Testing persons taste, lets suggest them a formula so that they can add those components given to them and make the bland dish a very tasteful one. This is my idea, but remember, this does not suffice for hotel or luxury meals. This is all done a substitute for everyday bread and butter and nothing much.

Every one of you probably had experienced different opinions by yourself on the same issue at different ages. To make it clear, consider an example: Eating chats on road side, would have made you think it’s great in your young, ferocious times; later on you might have felt it’s too dirty, not so healthy and so on….this is how your opinion has changed. All I’m trying to say is that, your perspective changes with respect to particular ideas, concepts as time goes on…

Let’s say, a video game, u might have liked it or wanted to play, but it may now seem stupid to sit in front of a TV and play a supermario game or something. The reason is you have grown, you see things in a more matured way, small things do not make you merry. You start thinking too realistic. Give it a break, think why you liked it earlier, go on, try to bring out the innocence and simplicity within you. Make yourself a kid, and bring out colourful imagination. All we need to do is just enjoy it, take a clay, hold it in your hands, you’ll automatically start playing with it, you’ll get involved. This’ll definitely make you feel fresh and new.

As humans, we are always inclined to do whatever we like. If money is what we want, we start running behind it madly; if power is what we want, we start losing ourselves to it sometimes even at the cost of anything; If fame, we go to any level of stupidity just achieve it. Initially, fame, power or whatsoever will be a goal or an aim to achieve; later that itself turns out to be our evil. This is when you should not lose yourself, think back, put a reverse gear, take a clay, run free…..do things that a child in you would do, be kiddish for some time, not a problem; you’ll then at least know where you stand, where you are pulled towards and how to keep yourself from not being spoilt.

Whenever, I used to look at a man sleeping roadside probably on a pile of sand or small stones, I felt very happy. Hey, I’m not speaking about a drunken guy or a mad person, I’m referring to a hard working labourer who probably is building a house or working at a site and has decided to take some rest. Look at him, he’s sleeping so happily without any worries, tensions, fear.

I being a guy whose in the fag end of schooling and about to earn a job always felt that I should stay as happy as him. Let any money come through, I prefer to spend it off and not piling to make myself more free. I don’t want to have a double locked iron doors to my home or a security alarm inside or carry a gun with you, or always a police as a security; I would love run free and live in the wild.

On my recent journey, I was at a railway platform in a very small town in Orissa state. Say it was around 11pm, only me and my friend were there. They were few coolies(helpers), beggars sleeping on the platform. All of a sudden the power went off and everything went black. Without a second thought, I immediately pulled out a chain from my hand bag, tied it around my luggage and locked it to the platform chair. Checking out my purse and my cell, I felt relieved. My eyes which was almost drowning got wide upon seeing others as where they are, is anyone coming closer, just to safeguard things………….Here, is where I felt that insecurity in curbing me, I didn’t want to be like this, I wanted more freedom, why am I getting locked unnecessarily, whose responsible for this, how to get out of this??????? ( I refers to a totality of mankind, this refers to any situation of insecurity; the above one was just an example which triggered my thought)

On a good Saturday evening, while chatting with my grandma, playing with my cousin, my phone rings. ‘Macha, come lets go to vizag’. That’s my friend Shiva. He has been one of my best friends since 4 years. Vizag or Vishakhapatnam is place in Andhra Pradesh to which is a journey of around 26 hours from my hometown, Bangalore. His grandma stays at vizag for which he wants to go and visit. I’m just a kind of guy, who wants to meet different people and see different places and know life better. That’s how I look at tourism. Coming to the main road, we booked a ticket the very day after tomorrow. That’s Monday afternoon. So swift, I came to my home from grandma’s place which is again a 4 hour ride; packed my bags. The online weather forecast suggested thunderstorms. So, expecting heavy rains, we packed extra shirts, extra jacket and was now full with 2 bags (very heavy).

The ticket, we booked was of tatkal (immediate) quota, whose key feature is we need to buy ticket for the entire train journey which is from starting point to the end point of the train irrespective of our destination. The end point read Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa. This is again a further 8 hour drive from vizag. The entire plan we had done on this tour was…….. nothing; just had 2 tickets to vizag in tatkal quota, Donno when we are going to come back, how we are going to come back, where we are going to stay; just planned to start with some good money in pocket. This is where the problem started. I said, anyway we have a ticket till Bhuvaneshwar, let’s go there; there are 2 more interesting places, Puri and Konark; let’s see and just roam around; let’s try to be a orrisian. He flipped off saying are u mad, what to do there, how to go there, we don’t know the language too….all sort came up. I too was pretty worried knowing how tourists are badly cheated there, still thought we’ll learn in due course. Nature has its own way of teaching.

Once the train started, we locked our bags and chained them. (Lesson 1: Always lock your bags and chain can people can snatch anytime in north India, it’s very unlike south). The co-travellers were good, started talking all the way. One of them had a hotel in Orissa which was very cool, cause I like anything and everything about food; so, he was a great time pass. Whenever chakka or hijara (trans-sexuals) came, we were forced to give money to them say at 10rs, else they would do dome embarrassing stuff. It was hard to pay them every time they turned up, that uncle taught us how to escape. (Lesson 2: Never look at trans-sexual person, just don’t meet his eyes, he’ll definitely force you. Look away as if you don’t know anything without making any expressions. High chances, they’ll leave you.) We met few nice guys of our age from Andhra, heard strange stories. There was one thing that amazed me; there are 600 engineering colleges in Andhra alone! Can u believe that? It comes around 30 to 40 thousand students coming out every year. The jobs now are in high scarcity. One of our co-passengers had paid Rs6000 as surety to some company for being placed and the next time he goes, there’s nobody there. Nobody knows where his DD (Demand draft) went to, around 150 of his friends lost in this way. This job scam is huge over there. Similar good and educative news were heard. The journey continued, the food was bad, although not horrible like in northern or eastern Indian railways. The most beautiful sight was of the river Godhavari belt. There is the longest railway bridge in India which goes for 3kms; the view is splendid. Getting close to Orissa, we took all the travel tips we could to go somewhere; yeah, that was our state, we didn’t know where to stay, we were about to reach by 10pm to Bhuvaneshwar. As per lot of suggestions, we got down at a small junction called ‘Khurda express’. This is where the adventure started…….

Its 9.30pm, a small junction, only 3 platforms, waiting there to go to Puri. Puri is just 30kms away. We went to buy tickets. Oh, he says the very next train is 10.30pm else at 3am and the travel time is 1hr30min. This made us piss out; what to do if we reach by 11, haven’t yet booked a room. Called youth hostel (YHAI) for a reservation in Puri, they say it’s available but you have to come within 10; this was the only hotel we knew and that too shattered. We asked the station master for any other opportunities. He said even the railway beds are full, so try for a taxi. Those buggers were already sleeping. They demanded Rs600 which is horrible (cause for traveling around 1000km we paid 550 and can’t pay 600 for 30 kms). This immediately caught me the image of Jab we met. J This left us to buy tickets for the train and made us wait in the platform. We went around trying to have some dinner. The hotels were so horrible (I prefer not to call them hotels at all), I could barely take another look at them. There was drainage passing right across the hotel upon which a tripod stand was kept and a stove was placed. There were doing Puri (the dish) in sesame oil. It sucks, the entire picture and the taste sucks. This image of Orissa I think will last a long time. With great difficulty we bought some soft drinks and came back to the platform. Luckily my mom had forced me to take some biscuits against my will which now was like amrutha. (Lesson 3: If your tour is this unplanned, please carry some food as backup else hard to survive). It was around 10 and the train had not yet come, and the power is off now! Surrounded by pitch darkness, the immediate thing was to chain the bags to the bench and probably chain ourselves too. J We thought this would be the worst part of journey; my friend Shiva, got so pissed off he started bitching (everyone who gave us tips in train to get down here) for about 20 minutes non-stop. It’s always so cool to hear him speak that. He’s the best in this as far as I know. The announcement came saying train is 30 minutes late, the again one more saying 1 hour late, again 1 and a half hour late. Finally the train arrived at 12am, exact midnight. There were barely any people in the station or in the train. The entire area was very insecure.

As the train left, we sat as thinking that the excitement for this journey was enough and all we expected was just pleasant move from there on. But who knows, at past 1, a station came. A boy was supposed to get down but he slept off and train moved; surprisingly one of his friend started pulling train chain just because he didn’t get down! That was the first time in my life I saw someone pulling an emergency chain for this stupid reason. We were at the shock of the life, thought police might turn; and then interrogation and then further delay………..ahhhh. Luckily nothing such happened, Alarm was of no use, the train happily reached Puri at 1.30am.

The view of the beach for which I was lookin at for almost 3 hours

Got down at the station, very blank, stood in platform for 5 minutes for a deep breath, went to the ticket collector. He advised some hotel and had to go there cause many lodges/rooms won’t open up at that part of the clock (Lesson 4: Always take advices from people who are not linked to the lodges so that they might not take you as a fool). We got a cycle rickshaw; we were probably the only 2 travellers at that time. All eyes on us, we were so afraid that someone might snatch our bags or something bad might happen, we held our bags as close as possible. The driver was an old man, he could barely ride a cycle by himself, I don’t know how he managed to drive us all the way(Lesson 5: Never go on a vehicle with a smart guy who explain things colourfully or would come forward and try to help you, he would be the biggest cheater). We got down near the beach, started banging the hotel gates. After few of them opened and we checked out the rooms, we finally settled at one particular lodge. It was 2.30am; all we needed was good night sleep. The room had a nice beach view, French windows, huge mirrors, looked a safe room. The earlier one we checked was so horrible that it had a lot of mirrors inside bathroom but the bathroom had no door at all! Yeah, thought it was like the ‘hotel decent’ picturised in Jab we met. The present room was good; I was so satisfied with the bathroom door that I failed to recognize that the door had no lock at all. Haha Shiva first slept off while I was just calling people to get my excitation and tell everyone that I was very much alive even after this horrible time. Suddenly, Shiva got up shouting something bit him. While we checked it out, they were bed bugs. This was the last thing we expected on this journey. Damaar, there goes the peaceful sleep. We were awake the entire night till 4.30am looking at the beach most stupidly. Had bath, got freshen up and were waiting for the sunrise; finally took an auto to the temple. The auto driver made a complete fool of us; when we got into it he said saath rupees (Rs 7), when we got out he shouted saying saat rupees (Rs 60). I started fighting with this bugger, but I could nowhere get through, neither the local crowd supported me, they were just happily laughing at us; I got badly pissed off for unnecessarily overcharging but we were helpless and got to pay 50rs. (Lesson 6: Be very careful with those men, they don’t haste to do anything). I should not comment like this, but the temple is horrible, it’s not worth seeing, there’s absolutely no artistic beauty. The main idol is actually of a wood, just plain wood with the picture of 3 gods painted on it. Believe me, u hardly get any bhakthi, of you go inside, its just too much of dirt and a lot of pick-pocketers. Inside the temple, more of my focus was on my wallet and cell rather than god.

Such a pity state should never come. Coming out, we checked out of our hotel and went to Konark.

Konark is really a great place, even the surroundings are beautiful. The good thing is that there’s no puja inside the temple and is abandoned, its all about the art and architecture. Hence, no fools will come over and start pestering you.

You can spend a nice time say 2 hours, if you are keen; even the Konark beach is clean and uncorrupted. The tourist spots are maintained very well, the OTDC (Orissa Tourism Development Corporation) hotel is there, which is really good. We had few beautiful paratha and curds and pickles. From there on, we moved to Pipili, a very small town. It’s all about a street where all the Orissa handlooms and artifacts are sold; It’s a nice place, don’t miss out if you go there. From there on, we moved to Bhuvaneshwar, which is again one more very dirty place. Went there at 6pm, and our train was at 10.30pm; having no place to roam around, we were forced to sit blandly in the station for 4 hours. We were most happy when we got to the final train which took us to vizag, Andhra. The journey from there was as usual any trip. All the excitements had been done and finished over here. (Lesson 7: Always buy a tourist map whenever you enter any new state) (Lesson 8: Never go to Orissa:)) hahahahha……………just kidding, I believe it’s a must see place, you’ll know at what horrible state of dirtiness people live there, you’ll sure learn a lot……. Anyone going to Orissa, happy and safe journey

I’m ususally a chatter box and I like to say a lot of stuff. Whereever I go, I try to learn, undersatnd and know stuff. I would very much like to share them. I share my interest with my friends depending on our mutual interests but cant say everything to anyone; so, i thought this would be a great way of expression. I will be writing whatever I feel good or bad or someone should know. :)
